Greene County Veteran's Services
The main purpose of the Veterans Service Office, first and foremost, to be an advocate for the veteran and his/her dependents.
Secondly, we assist veterans & their dependents in obtaining any and all veteran’s benefits they are entitled to. Benefits available, but not limited to, are: non service-connected pension, widow’s pension, service-connected compensation, educational benefits, hospital eligibility claims, as well as ordering of medal/ribbons entitled to. We also order proof of military service, service medical records, & any other military records requested.
We visit funeral homes, hospitals nursing homes, assisted living facilities & personal homes for those confined to home.
It is the desire of the service officer & staff to treat our veterans with the utmost respect and dignity and to go above and beyond our call of duty to help those who allow us to have & enjoy the freedoms we have today.
